The Island is a science fiction movie, or you can say it’s a Hollywood movie as well with a lots of violence in it. Doctor Merrick decides to start the facillity, it’s hard to understand his reasons. But I think it’s because he wants to earn money on the human clones. In the movie he shows the idea of the human cloning and tries to sell it to people. He makes a copy of a man, Tom Lincoln and names it Lincoln Six Echo.
